If you're reading this, you're interested in more info about the Cartoon Syndicate.
My goal with Cartoon Syndicate is quite lofty but rather simple in it's inspiration. I want to do something to inspire and facilitate the creation of independent cartoons. With a specific focus on animated cartoons.
Animation is quite an undertaking. There are plenty of people out there, that manage solo or small "studio" endeavors. Some projects are really quite good and awe inspiring when you think of the time and work it takes an individual to create them.
I wish to do something, to bring cartoon minded individuals together. Not simply a place to gather artists and animators. To also welcome people that enjoy cartoons, that possess the other talents that go into creating cartoons. Musicians, Actors, Writers. Fans that just want to be a part of it. I want to give these folk a place to gather, to share ideas, look for helping hands to complete their own projects. Or to come together in a collaborative effort and make something awesome.
I would like the Cartoon Syndicate to also serve as a resource, something entertaining and educational. A place where young creators can mingle with people of varying skills and talents, again all united by one common passion--cartoons.
I've never forgotten how I was inspired by cartoons growing up, heck, I still am. I also know how difficult in can be balancing needs of life and trying to make something of your creations. I've decided if I cannot get my own things off the ground, then perhaps I can provide a way for others to make theirs happen.
As such, I have a grand vision for the Cartoon Syndicate. Someday I would like to fashion not only a social and networking site that gives people means to share their creations and talents. But I want to begin providing resources, stock music and sound effects, photos, even printing options both for books and dvds. With enough support I can provide members cheaper options to create assorted projects.
Reaching further I also want a non-profit side of Cartoon Syndicate. To offer grants and scholarships for aspiring creators. Provide some funding to help cover whatever costs that affect someone's ability to bring their project to life.
In the mean time. I'm starting small. With this forum, and eventually the blog and officially produced content, interviews, guest bloggers.
So welcome to the Cartoon Syndicate I hope you enjoy your stay.
